Choke the Fish is the Friday night project. The goal is to shed the worries of a week of reality and melt into a groove. There is no discussion of key, direction, or intention. Some one starts playing, others join. It leads where it leads. It is such fun to do it this way that we can’t stop. Most of the time the whole thing is improvised. Sometimes we go back and overdub words ( Lite It Up, She, Yard Sale, Broken Wing) . I think it may be some of the worst singing ever recorded but there is a satisfaction to it that is completely euphoric.
